Kaena Point 12.18.11

I always love an adventure to Kaena Point near "baby animal season." Yes, that is my scientific term for it.

Kaena Point

I had just missed the 3 whales spouting to the right corner. They are difficult to photograph.
This is a view of the Kaena Point Trail coming from Makaha.
This is a view of the trail coming from the North Shore. This is the side I hiked from today.
A mama albatross and her egg.
The mama albatross got tired of us taking her picture. So she hid her face.
This monk seal didn't mind having its picture taken. We saw 3 adult monk seals but no juveniles this time.

Walking back in the dark was an adventure. I strongly advise the use of a flashlight.
